Zinc particles appear on the surface of hot-dip galvanized sheets, i.e. small, rough particles that have not been smoothed and affect not only the appearance but also the use. The reason for the formation of such particles is that during the production process of figural galvanized sheets, the machine stirs up and floats excessive bottom slag, which adheres to the surface of the hot-dip galvanized sheet and floats up due to high production temperatures. In addition, the bottom slag floats in the zinc solution.
If the aluminum content is too high, it is assumed that aluminum and zinc have a good affinity for each other, and therefore they are bound and attached to the surface of the galvanized sheet.Elimination of zinc particles can also be treated by prescribing the correct medication. For example, the bottom scum is often treated to keep the galvanizing environment clean; the temperature of the bath of the flowerless galvanized sheet should not be too high, it is advisable to keep it at 440℃~450℃. The aluminum content in the zinc bath should not be too high, keeping it at about 0.1%.
In addition, please note that long storage time will increase oxidation, etc. In short, they can be eliminated by strictly producing zinc particles. The formation of thicker edges on the surface of figural galvanized sheet means that the edges of the zinc layer of figural galvanized sheet are thicker than the middle portion, and this becomes a thicker edge defect, which is not conducive to strip coiling. Rough edges are divided into high speed rough edges and low speed rough edges, the reason for the formation of thicker edges is due to the improper adjustment of the angle of the air knife during galvanizing, which leads to blowing and the formation of turbulence, and it can be eliminated by properly adjusting the strength of the air knife.
